We all want Covid-19 gone. Well, all of us but people like power-hungry Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and panderer-in-chief, radio personality, psychopath* and Albuquerque mayoral candidate Eddy Aragon. Eddy is the guy you meet at Starbuck’s who can solve the all world’s problems, but lives in his mother’s basement and drives a car covered with fringe bumper stickers on how to save the world. He doesn’t work, he pontificates all day long, to whomever will listen to him.
Eddy Aragon is working so hard to pander to the authoritarian pro-vaccination voters he needs to attract to win the Albuquerque mayor’s race that he reveals that the values he pretends to espouse are propaganda. Eddy will play any angle needed to get a little attention. And while he’s proclaiming Covid-19 restrictions are a joke and hurting businesses on the radio by day, at night another Eddy comes out and promotes Covid-19 testing that he daily denigrates as unnecessary and unscientific.
In one post from a Facebook account run by Natalie and Rebecca, two of Eddy’s staffers, a comment questioning why Eddy is promoting testing is met with the response, “Those of us who pay attention know the truth. But there are still a lot who aren’t paying attention except to corp media. Now the corp #mediablackout can’t say Eddy is AGAINST testing or safety measures. It’s also voluntary!” Pandering much? Read it for yourself!
Will the real Eddy please step forward? Do we know what the real Eddy believes? Is this man running for mayor? Or is he running to be the leader of the next psychopathic cult? We’re not sure, but we can add two more Cs to his “Five-C” campaign philosophy: “cult” and “chaos.” Don’t vote for this man– nothing good will follow. And just like all of Eddy’s dark money schemes there’s gotta be a money trail. Who is paying for this, Eddy?
*As a criminal justice major student, I’ve been reading so much about psychopaths and it’s been amazing to see how many correlations I’ve been able to draw between the Albuquerque mayoral candidate Eddy Aragon and textbook definitions.
