This week the nation of Israel celebrates 70 years of independence. Since my recent visit to Israel last fall (picture below), I have come to appreciate the modern history of the state of Israel in many ways.
Israel is unique, as nation that values freedom and democracy, and has been our dependable ally in the Middle East.
