Unofficial results for the Albuquerque Public Schools board election are in. Congratulations to APS board-elect member Peggy Muller-Aragon who beat APS Dist. 2 incumbent Kathy Korte.
Kathy Korte captured attention for herself since first elected to the school board with seemingly mirrational and outrageous comments. Korte called parents she supposedly represented “whiny”, little children she had never met who were part of the school system “jerks” and a state Representative was given the insulting title of “traitor”. She was also an important member of the group Stand4KidsNM that has been the subject of a couple ethics complaints to the Secretary of State’s office.
