Democrat #WarOnWomen: Roxanne “Rocky” Lara Edition

Last week an interesting report surfaced bringing to light the troubling work history of attorney Roxanne “Rocky” Lara.  Lara, a Carlsbad resident who is challenging New Mexico’s Republican Congressman Steve Pearce, has finally released information on her campaign website claiming she has represented “children, particularly in abuse and neglect situations.”  Really?

Debbie Wasserman Schultz visited Albuquerque a couple weeks ago in an event supporting Democrats in key races.  At one University of New Mexico event hosted by the Democratic Party of New Mexico and the New Mexico Young Democrats the Left highlighted women’s issue and doubtless shouted their “war on women” mantra from their soapbox.

More recently Debbie Wasserman Schultz exploded on Governor Scott Walker for seemingly no reason saying he abused women and his policies were a slap in the face.

But what is the truth?!  What is the real war on women?!

From the Washington Examiner:

In four cases from 2001 to 2012 reviewed by Secrets, she defended a man who allegedly sexually abused his estranged wife, another who allegedly beat his wife and forced her on drugs she was allergic to, another who smashed up his estranged wife’s home, according to a police report, and a fourth accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend.

The cases had a similar abusive theme summed up in a quote from one of those allegedly targeted by Lara’s client: “He wouldn’t give me a divorce, he doesn’t plan to re-marry, he just make my life a living hell,” she said in the court papers.

So why are the Democrats supporting a woman running for congress, Roxanne Lara, who defends men who [allegedly] abuse women?!  And even if Lara did defend the men who beat women, why is she hiding it and not mentioning it on her campaign website?!  Is Lara hiding anything else?!

Living in New Mexico?  Please stop by Congressman Steve Pearce’s campaign website and support him here.  You can also help by sharing this blogpost and spreading the word about the terrible candidate Roxanne Lara.
