Some people just don’t understand social media and are destined to fail on Twitter– last month when AG (aspiring governor, not attorney general) Gary King, Democrat candidate for governor, hired a campaign manager out of Louisiana who had a history of continually sending offensive, sexist tweets directed at women.

Today, just over a month after he lost his campaign manager due to very offensive tweets, Gary King hits the news again involving Twitter, this time because he has bought Twitter followers to boost his account!  Not only are King’s new followers inactive and bought, quite a few of them are what the Twitterverse has dubbed “porn-bots.”

Free Beacon Reports:

King now has more fake followers than real ones, according to Twitter Audit. Of his 1,968 followers, 904 are real, and 964 are not.

King was averaging 51 new followers per week since April. However, the week of July 6-12, @GaryKingforGov gained 1,107 more followers.

Another analysis of his account revealed that more than 10 percent of King’s followers speak Russian, and 37 percent had not tweeted in the past 100 days.

Many of King’s newfollowing also follow “Free Porn Videos.”
