Today we learned that one of the last of the major GOP presidential candidates will soon be leaving the race. This ought to send a signal to us. If we’re not already awake it’s time for us to join. We have a candidate who will likely be our nominee. As citizens of the United States we will not allow Obama to be reelected. We are free and equal and will not allow leader of any kind to take away our freedoms.

Join or Die: this is a motto that has historical significance. Our founders were faced with the likelihood that if they did not unite the consequences could very well be fatal. The thirteen colonies did unite and we are here because of that decision. Today we face decisions that are also important. The past four years have brought changes, the economic viewpoint alone is devastating, but this administration has assaulted nearly every front that our founders stood for. Our freedom of speech, religious liberty and state sovereignty to name a few things. Those who have worked to defend the Constitution have been silenced or pushed aside. Matters that should have never been considered to be an issue have been challenged.
The President’s healthcare plan alone demonstrates his determination. Statistics show that the majority of Americans object to this law. Why would he force it upon us? It will cost far more than had been originally estimated and will lead to an even greater deficit which our children inherit, yet the administration continues to say that we ‘need’ it. Without the restraints of a coming reelection where would the president take us?
This year is about strategy. We all have our different opinions of how this should move forward, but the primary issue is that we are together on the goal– defeat Obama. We should not rest until we have done our part to the greatest extent to see that Barack Obama will not be reelected. The only way that can happen is by getting behind the Republican nominee completely. There is no perfect presidential candidate, and when the numbers add up there is no other way to win.
We’re on the battlefront. We have the choice to unite and fight…or run and see how fast the enemy can catch us. The time is now, the war is here.
Join…or freedom dies.
Hey another great article! I will vote For Mitt if he is the nominee over Obama but I am not promoting him. Sorry! I am focusing more on keeping the House and gaining the Senate. I will do as much as I can from down here in Brazil but I can”t promote him. He is one of those #GOP that I despise. Hence the reason I am an Indy gal now. They don’t want to fix the problems in DC, they just want to tinker around the edges and keep the statusquo.
I know that you are #GOP all the way but there are many #GOP that I cannot tolerate..they are almost as bad as the #Dems. But I do appreciate that better #Mitt than Obama…so yes I will vote for Mitt n tweet things that might help him be elected. But I will not give up my integrity to promote him. I hope you will understand and I do not condemn those who don’t feel the same way. Just my personal feelings on subject.

Thank you for the reply!
Yes, I understand where you are coming from and respect that viewpoint. Romney is the last one standing so I will be supporting him– completely. He has the Republican platform behind him which still holds to many of the values I stand for. Beating Obama is my goal!!
As to Congress and Senate, they are so important too. Hoping to get some good ones in this year and I’m certainly working toward that as well.
Blessings to you!

Yep, I’m in! I found your blog when you followed me on Twitter (ZillaStevenson), I followed back & now I’m adding you to my blogroll too. Great post, and nice to meet you!
I was an enthusiastic supporter for Rick Santorum and I also really liked Newt, but Mitt is our nominee and the hostile jackasses on the left have managed to accomplish something that the elites on the right never could; I am EXCITED about support Mitt Romney because I am having fun beating up the left with every stupid attack them make against him (because no matter what it is, our side has something related but ten times worse about Obama and we will FINALLY get these things out in front of America’s eyes with every lame brained leftist attack on Mitt and with every stupid hashtag team 0 comes out with on Twitter). Ridicule is a powerful weapon, and we’ve got clean cut tall well built and handsome Mitt versus the limp-wristed boney throws like a girl effeminate dog eating weenie Obama. After all of the abuse the left has served up ever since AlGore lost the election to W and especially what they’ve done since 2008, from their attacks on Sarah Palin’s innocent little baby to calling us vulgar sexual slurs, to the threats and bullying and non-stop lies about our side, the payback is long past due and our side has finally learned a few tricks of our own, like how to make things go viral and how to not be afraid of being called names anymore by people who hate you anyway.
I read a wonderful post at The Conservatory today that makes the best case I’ve seen yet to be enthusiastic about Mitt, check it out if you have some time, it lays out clearly why Mitt Romney may very well be the guy that America needs RIGHT NOW. Here’s the link:
